In the summer of 2009, I spent a month traveling to the four corners of India with my father and a professor of textile design from Ahmedebad's prestigious National Institute of Design. During that time we researched and documented the various methods of traditional and modern textile design and production, and the people that keep these traditions alive. From small family shops in remote villages like Kanchipuram to the exquisite production facilities of Gitto's Jaipur Bloc, we discovered a country rich in talent and resources, striving for equitable, sustainable labor practices while battling the relentless onslaught of mass production and low-quality goods.

Quarantine photo puzzles! Now is as good a time as any to try out the “puzzle” fulfillment feature on my site. I have selected 20 of my favorite images from two of my favorite places to explore: Cuba and India. There are detailed descriptions provided with each image. The puzzle is printed and shipped by EZ Prints, a large-scale printing facility based out of Norcross, Georgia. Not sure what the exact shipping time is like, but they are still up and running. It is a 252 piece, 10” x 14” puzzle. Thanks!
